The Stony Brook women's swimming and diving team edged Fairfield, 152-143, at the RecPlex on Saturday afternoon. Stony Brook concludes the regular season with a 3-7 record.
After tying Fairfield's "A" relay, Rebecca Sayles won her first event when she touched first in the 800 meter freestyle in 9:38.93. Lucy Liu won back-to-back events when she won the 200 meter freestyle and 100 meter backstroke.
Sayles gave the Seawolves' first place points when she won the 200 meter backstroke. Liu capped off her excellent day when she won the 100 meter fly in 1:08.72.
Stony Brook capped the day with a first place finish in the 200 meter freestyle relay.
Stony Brook returns to action when it competes in the America East Championships hosted by Boston University on February 8.
