Men's Swimming and Diving Defeats Fairfield, 157-130

Fairfield, Conn. - The Stony Brook men's swimming and diving team defeated Fairfield, 157-130 at the RecPlex pool on Saturday afternoon. The Seawolves conclude the regular season with a 7-3 record.

Things got off to a good start when the Seawolves' "A" relay won the 200 meter medley relay. Raphy Labour followed up the good start when he won the 800 meter freestyle in 9:32.98.

Stony Brook continued its hot start when Ruslan Safarov, Vladimir Sreckovic, Bryce Cullinane and Alexander Kissel touched first in their events, giving them first place points.

Labour and Safarov each placed first in events later in the day before Julian Acevado capped the meet with a first place finish in the one meter dive with a score of 294.83.

The Seawolves are next in action when they head to Boston for the America East Championships hosted by Boston University on February 8.
