The Stony Brook men's tennis team swept all six singles matches to roll to a 6-1 win over Bucknell on Saturday afternoon. The win is the Seawolves third in a row and they improve to 3-3 on the year.
After dropping two out of three doubles matches and falling into an early 1-0 hole, the Stony Brook men's tennis team won all six singles matches to cruise to the 6-1 win.
At No. 1 singles, Quirijn Van Veen won in straight sets, 7-5, 6-2. At the number two slot, Nihal Advani bested Ryan Sandburg, 6-4, 6-2. Youssef Fassi-Fehri kept things rolling at No. 3 singles with a 6-2, 6-2 win, Ilan Shvartz won at No. 4 singles, 6-3, 6-0, Jon Epstein won at No. 5, 8-4, and Alex Markovich completed the singles sweep with an 8-6 win at No. 6 singles. The duo of Shvartz and Epstein picked up the lone doubles win on the day for Stony Brook with an 8-2 win at No. 3.
The Seawolves return to action on March 3 when they take on Buffalo.
