The Stony Brook men's tennis team fell to Yale, 6-1, on Wednesday evening. Ilan Shvartz earned the lone Seawolf point at No. 4 singles. With the loss the Seawolves move to 4-7 on the year.
Yale swept all three doubles matches en route to grabbing an early 1-0 lead in the match. The Bulldogs maintained their momentum as they won five of six singles leads to hand the Seawolves a 6-1 loss. Shvartz cruised at No. 4 singles for the lone Stony Brook point, besting Matt Schimmel, 6-1, 6-2.
The Seawolves return to action this Friday when they welcome St. John's to University Courts. The match is scheduled for a 3:00 p.m. start.
