South Orange, N.J. - Maurice Brown (Clarendon, Jamaica) had a game-high seven shots in his collegiate debut but the Stony Brook men's soccer team fell to Seton Hall, 2-0 in the 2007 season opener. Stony Brook is 0-1 while Seton Hall is 1-0.

Stony Brook had the first good scoring chance of the game when a header by Brown in the 10th minute went off the post, and Michael Palacio's (Long Beach, N.Y.) follow off the rebound was blocked.

Stony Brook outshot Seton Hall, 18-10 but managed just five shots on goal.

Stony Brook is back in action with a trip to Connecticut to face UConn. Kick-off is set for 7 pm.
