Queens, N.Y. - The Stony Brook men's tennis team dropped a non-conference match to St. John's University, 7-0, on Friday afternoon at Cunningham Tennis Center despite pushing three singles matches to three sets. The tennis program also announced that Thursday's cancelled matches against Fairleigh Dickinson have been rescheduled for April 3 at 2:00 p.m.

The Red Storm started off the day by winning all three doubles matches to take the first point of the afternoon. Freshman Ivan Rummel (Budapest, Hungary) and sophomore Jon Epstein (Silver Spring, Md.) also dropped an 8-6 decision at the no. 3 position.

Baradach nearly sparked the Seawolves to begin the singles matches, falling 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 at the No. 1 position. Rummel also lost a three-set match at no. 3, falling 6-1, 3-6, 6-4. Epstein pushed Pavel Cerny to the limit at no. 5, losing 7-5, 3-6, 10-8.
