Stony Brook, N.Y. - Two America East records set at the conference championships has earned freshman Ivan Kopas (Kikinda, Serbia) SimplexGrinnell Stony Brook Athlete of the Week honors. Kopas set an America East record in the 100 back with a 49.58 in the prelims. After winning the 100 back by just a hundredth of a second (49.99), he set a pool and conference record in the 200 back (1:46.28).
