Cambridge, Mass. - Freshman Kyle Gannon (North Babylon, N.Y.) was named the America East Male Diver of the Week on Tuesday. Gannon finished first in the one-meter dive against St. Francis on Saturday to help the Seawolves earn a 132-78 victory over the Terriers.

Gannon earned a score of 180.30 on the one-meter board as the Seawolves earned maximum points in the diving competition. This was Gannon's second straight strong showing after placing third on the three-meter board last weekend against Army and Boston College.

The Seawolves have now garnered two consecutive weekly diving honors as junior Jodie Darnell (Rocklin, Calif.) picked up the America East Female Diver of the Week award last Tuesday.

Stony Brook returns to action on Oct. 29 for a dual-meet at Massachusetts at 1 p.m.
