Men's Tennis falls to St. John's, 6-1

Stony Brook, N.Y. - Stony Brook University's men's tennis team dropped its final non-conference contest of the season on Monday at University Courts, falling to St. John's 6-1. Stony Brook is now 8-10 on the season.

St. John's opened by earning the doubles point. Freshmen Nikita Fomin (Moscow, Russia) and Francesco Arciuli (Lesmo, Italy) won 8-4 at No. 3 doubles.

Fomin won the only singles match for the Seawolves, defeating Stefan Bojic 6-0, 6-3 at the No. 1 position. Arciuli and freshman Ryan Schmitz (Schenectady, N.Y.) each fell in three sets and the No. 4 and No. 5 positions, respectively.

The Seawolves will close their regular season on Saturday, hosting UMBC.
