Queens, N.Y. - The Stony Brook's men's tennis team faced off against the Northeast's best at the ITA Regionals at St. John's last weekend.

Sophomore Alexandre Felisa (Boulogne, France) beat Niagara's Elortegui, 6-4, 7-5, before falling in the next round. Felisa advanced to the main draw with a pair of straight-set wins in qualifying.

Sophomore Raphael Termat (Nice, France) also won a singles match, defeating Drexel's Fioravante, 6-1, 6-4. Termat also won a pair of qualifying matches.

Junior Jose Morales (Bradenton, Fla.) batted Buffalo's Ionescu in a three-set match before winning the final set 6-3. He played Yale's Wang in the next round, which also went three sets, but Morales fell 6-3 in the third.

Felisa and Morales teamed up for an 8-5 win over the duo of Peterson/Peterson from Lehigh. They fell to Caseras/Vrabel, who advanced to the quarterfinals, 8-4, in the next round.

Stony Brook will wrap up the fall season at Army this weekend.
