In the win, the Seawolves improve to 11-15 and 5-3 in America East, while the River Hawks fall to 4-20 and 1-6 in conference play.

- The Seawolves jumped ahead to a 7-2 lead in the first set to take the frame 25-12. Stony Brook hit .407 in the first set.

- Stony Brook hit .483 in a 25-18 second-set win. Vogel had 16 assists and five digs in the set.
- Senior Kathy Fletcher (West Chicago, Ill.) had nine of her match-high 16 kills in the second set.
- The Seawolves hit .351 in a 25-14 win in the third set. Senior Lo Hathaway (Warsaw, N.Y.) had six of her eight digs in the set.
- Freshman Taylor Wilson (Corydon, Ind.) had nine kills on a .615 hitting percentage and eight digs.
- Freshman McKyla Brooks (Blasdell, N.Y.) had seven kills and no errors along with one block.
- Senior Stephanie McFadden (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) tallied eight kills on a .316 hitting percentage.
