Stony Brook battled back after the losing the doubles point, eventually tying the match at three, but Lehigh's Ethan Bogard claimed a three-set victory at No. 6 singles to help the Mountain Hawks to a 4-3 victory over the Seawolves.
Sophomores Tyler Hoffman (Sayville, N.Y.) and Alexandre Felisa (Boulogne, France) posted singles victories to give the Seawolves a 2-1 lead.
Sophomore Kenzo Kauffmann (La Croix, Switzerland) helped Stony Brook regain a 3-2 lead after a straight-set victory at No. 5 singles, but Lehigh captured three-set tiebreakers at No. 1 and No. 6 singles to win the match.
The Seawolves will open conference play against Hartford on Saturday, February 28.
