Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook men's tennis team topped Wagner, 7-0, in its home opener Tuesday at University Courts.
The Seawolves (4-5) earned the doubles points on the strength of an 8-1 win from the sophomore duo of Raphael Termat (Nice, France) and Kenzo Kauffmann (La Croix, Switzerland) at No. 3 doubles.
Termat led four Stony Brook players who posted straight-set singles victories with a 6-3, 7-6 win at No. 1. Junior Jose Morales (Bradenton, Fla.) won 6-2, 6-4 at No. 3, sophomore Tyler Hoffman (Sayville, N.Y.) posted a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 4 and sophomore Hari Rohan (Tampa, Fla.) earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 6.
Kauffmann and Felisa each posted 10-7 victories in the third set to help Stony Brook sweep singles play.
The men's squad will host UMBC on Friday, April 3.
