Fairfield, Conn. - The Stony Brook volleyball team was defeated in three sets (22-25, 21-25, 23-25) by Boston College Friday afternoon at the Fairfield Invitational in Alumni Hall. In the defeat, the Seawolves fall to 1-4 on the year. The Eagles improve to 4-0 with the win.
Highlights
- Senior Kathy Fletcher (West Chicago, Ill.) led all players with 12 kills. Freshman McKyla Brooks (Buffalo, N.Y.) added nine.
- Senior Lo Hathaway (Warsaw, N.Y.) tallied a team-high 13 digs in her first match since Aug. 29 at No. 1 Penn State.
- Senior Nicole Vogel (Costa Mesa, Calif.) had 12 digs and 11 assists for the Seawolves.
Notes
- Hathaway tallied 13 digs to move within 26 of Jessica Serrano’s all-time program record of 1,530.
- Stony Brook used 11 players in the match - the most the Seawolves have played in a match this season.
- The Seawolves and Eagles were tied 11 times in the third set, with four lead changes.
