Last Time Out: Sacred Heart
The Seawolves fell in three sets to Sacred Heart Tuesday evening in Fairfield, Connecticut. McKyla Brooks led the Seawolves with 12 kills, while Jordan Gels had a career-high 14 digs.
Scouting the Wildcats
New Hampshire is 8-8 on the year after winning its conference opener in three sets over UMBC Friday night. Demi Muses had 15 kills and 13 digs in the sweep
Muses, the 2015 America East Co-Player of the Year, is second in the America East with 3.70 kills/set. Keelin Severtson leads the conference with 10.44 assists/set and 0.47 aces/set.Â
The Last Time We Met: New Hampshire
The Wildcats swept the season series a year ago en route to their third straight America East title. The most recent meeting was a four-set New Hampshire win at Pritchard Gymnasium, Nov. 13, 2015. Kathy Fletcher led the Seawolves with 16 kills while Cydney Bowman tallied 10 kills and 17 digs.

Sophomore McKyla Brooks leads the America East with a .308 hitting percentage in 2016.
Sakowicz Sparking Seawolves
LeAnne Sakowicz has found numerous ways to contribute for Stony Brook in the first half of her freshman campaign. Sakowicz has the Seawolves' top dig performance of the year (18 vs. Fort Wayne), along with performances of 10 kills, 27 assists and five aces, all in separate matches.
Poole, Swimming in Awards
Freshman Maria Poole was named to the all-tournament team in two of the Seawolves' nonconference invitationals - the Art Carmichael Invitational at Rhode Island and the Hofstra/Stony Brook Invitational.
Serrano Named to Stony Brook Hall of Fame
Seawolves alum Jessica Serrano-Plugues '00, the program's all-time leader in kills with 2,205, will be inducted into the Stony Brook Athletics Rita and Kurt Eppenstein Hall of Fame October 14.
