Lowell, Mass. – A balanced effort from the Stony Brook volleyball team propelled the Seawolves to a sweep of America East foe UMass Lowell (25-10, 25-18, 25-17) Friday night at the Costello Athletic Center. With the win, the Seawolves improve to 6-14 and 2-3 in the America East, while the River Hawks fall to 5-15 and 0-5 in conference play.
By the Numbers
- Sophomore
McKyla Brooks (Blasdell, N.Y.) and freshman
Maria Poole (Stavanger, Norway) were tied with a match-high seven kills, while both added three blocks.

Melann Amory (Center Valley, Pa.) posted 10 digs.
- Freshman
LeAnne Sakowicz (Wauconda, Ill.) got the start at setter and tallied a career-high-tying 27 assists in the sweep along with seven digs.

Taylor Wilson (Corydon, Ind.) chipped in four.
