Seawolves host New Hampshire in America East showdown

Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook volleyball team hosts New Hampshire in a pivotal America East match Friday night at Pritchard Gymnasium.

Battle of the UGCs Night
Friday will be the annual Battle of the UGCs Night for Stony Brook's undergraduate colleges.

The Seawolves will be wearing pink uniforms for the match for breast cancer awareness and the first 200 students wearing pink will receive free pizza.

Last Time Out: UMBC
UMBC rebounded from an 0-2 deficit to down the Seawolves in five sets Oct. 21 at Pritchard Gymnasium. Kardasia Hitchcock had a career-high 19 digs, while McKyla Brooks hit .600 with 14 kills.

Scouting the Wildcats
The three-time defending conference champions sit in third place in the America East standings entering the weekend and picked up nonconference wins over Delaware State and UMES last weekend.

Demi Muses ranks second in the conference in hitting percentage (.297) and kills/set (3.63), while Keelin Severtson has posted a conference-best 10.76 assists/set. UNH is 6-2 in its last eight matches.

The Last Time We Met: New Hampshire
New Hampshire picked up a three-set win over the Seawolves Oct. 2 in Durham. McKyla Brooks tallied 10 kills in the match.

Sophomore McKyla Brooks leads the America East with a .313 hitting percentage in 2016.

Serrano Named to Stony Brook Hall of Fame
Seawolves alum Jessica Serrano-Plugues '00, the program's all-time leader in kills with 2,205, was inducted into the Stony Brook Athletics Rita and Kurt Eppenstein Hall of Fame Oct. 14.

Stony Brook will play its final two regular-season conference road matches next weekend, facing Albany Nov. 4 and Binghamton Nov. 5.
