Fairfield, Conn. – The Stony Brook volleyball team fell in a non-conference match at Sacred Heart in three sets (16-25, 18-25, 17-25) Tuesday evening at the Pitt Center. In the defeat, the Seawolves drop to 4-12, while the Pioneers improve to 9-6.
 
By the Numbers
- Sophomore McKyla Brooks (Blasdell, N.Y.) led the Seawolves with 12 kills.
- Freshman Jordan Gels (Lewis Center, Ohio) tallied a career-high 14 digs.
- Sophomore Taylor Wilson (Corydon, Ind.) chipped in seven kills.
- The Seawolves were outhit .278-.073 in the match.
 
Notes
- The defeat was the first to the Pioneers in the Division I era. Stony Brook is now 6-1 all-time vs. Sacred Heart.
- Stony Brook falls to 44-11 all-time vs. the NEC.
