The Blue Devils  are searching for their first win in 2016. They dropped their season opener to Vermont 2-0 before rebounding with a 2-2 draw at Cornell. Halvard Ramstad and Andres Muriel Albino netted the goals. Central Connecticut and Stony Brook met in each team's 2015 season opener. The Seawolves prevailed 1-0 behind a goal from Martieon Watson (Vessigny, Trinidad). Central Connecticut would go on to finish 6-9-2.

Erdei Gets on the Board

Stony Brook's leading goal scorer from 2015, Vince Erdei (Budapest, Hungary), found the net for the first time this season with the only goal in Stony Brook's victory at Canisius. Looking to improve upon a sophomore campaign that saw him net eight goals, Erdei got on the board with a well-struck volley from 10 yards out.

McMahon is The Man

After appearing in one game in 2015, junior Tom McMahon (Nassau Bay, Texas) appears to be locked into the number one goalkeeper spot. McMahon has recorded two clean sheets in four starts this season, raising his career total to six. His best performance of the season came in Stony Brook's last outing when he made eight saves to preserve the shutout, including a pivotal stop on a breakaway attempt in the fifth minute.
