CLINTON, S.C. – The Stony Brook baseball team dropped a pitchers duel, 2-1, to host Presbyterian in the third and final game of the series on Sunday afternoon at PC Baseball Complex.
The Seawolves (1-5) lone run came off the bat of sophomore LF
Dylan Resk (Ardsley, N.Y.) with a home run in the second inning to the tied the score.
Freshman RHP
Brian Herrmann (Northport, N.Y.) tossed 6.2 innings and allowed just one earned run. He struck out four and scattered five hits in his first career start.
Turning Point
Presbyterian broke the 1-1 tie with a run in the bottom of the third inning. The Blue Hose leadoff batter walked and came around to score on a single and fielder's choice.

- Freshman RHP Brian Herrmann (Northport, N.Y.) recorded his first collegiate start on Saturday.
- Herrmann pitched 6.2 innings, allowed two runs on five hits and struck out four in the start.
- Senior CF Toby Handley (Whitby, Ontario) tripled in the first inning for his 11th career three-baggers. That moves him into sixth on Stony Brook's career list.
- Sophomore LF Dylan Resk (Ardsley, N.Y.) homered in the second inning for his first of the season and third of his career.
