Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

Tesoriero tallies career-high 16 saves as No. 8/9 Stony Brook downs Jacksonville 13-5

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Sophomore Anna Tesoriero (Huntington, N.Y.) posted a stellar bounce-back performance, as the Seawolves goalie recorded a career-high 16 saves in the No. 8/9 Stony Brook women's lacrosse team's 13-5 win over Jacksonville Monday night at D.B. Milne Field. With the win, the Seawolves improve to 6-1, while the Dolphins drop to 2-4.

Coach Spallina's Take
"It was nice to get back on track tonight … The conditions were tough with the cold rain but we played with grit and put together a more Stony Brook-like effort on the defensive side. Offensively, we played unselfish again with 11 of our 13 goals being assisted.

"With the conditions the way they were, draw controls were really a key with us owning the circle. We get a little rest now and tomorrow set our sights towards playing a top-five USC team in our barn."
