Jourdin Hering (Federal Way, Wash.) recorded two hits on Sunday afternoon at Kessock Field, but Stony Brook softball fell by the final score of 8-0 in five innings. With the loss, Stony Brook falls to 9-21 (5-5 AEC).
Notes
- Hering went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles, raising her batting average to .337. She's now hit safely in seven of her last nine games.
- Lexie Shue (Lakewood, Calif.) and Allyssa Malony (Runnemede, N.J.) each added a hit, as well. Shue now has 17 hits so far this year, and Maloney has 11.
- Chelsea Evans (Merced, Calif.) also reached base twice for the Seawolves with two walks, raising her on-base percentage to .337.
- Taylor Pechin (Harrington, Del.) made her fourth appearance in the circle this season, going 2.2 innings out of the bullpen. She gave up just three hits and two runs.
