Taryn Ohlmiller posts eight-point day in No. 5/6 Stony Brook's win over Albany

STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Freshman Taryn Ohlmiller (Islip, N.Y.) tallied four goals and four assists, while senior Dorrien Van Dyke (Northport, N.Y.) added four goals and an assist in the No. 5/6 Stony Brook women's lacrosse team's 18-11 win over Albany Sunday at LaValle Stadium. With the win, the Seawolves improve to 10-1 and 2-0 in the America East, while the Great Danes drop to 5-4 and 1-1 in conference play.
 

 
By the Numbers
- Taryn Ohlmiller matched her career-high with four assists and had her eighth-straight multi-goal game. Ohlmiller ranks second on the team with 29 goals.
- Van Dyke notched four goals and an assist while adding three ground balls and two caused turnovers.
- Sophomore Keri McCarthy (Hauppauge, N.Y.) tallied three goals, one assist and eight draw controls.
- Junior Kylie Ohlmiller (Islip, N.Y.) scored three goals and added two assists. Ohlmiller has a nation-leading 75 points in 11 games on 40 goals and 35 assists.
- Senior Kristin Yevoli (Massapequa, N.Y.) tallied a goal, an assist, five draw controls, two ground balls and two caused turnovers.
- Sophomore Ally Kennedy (North Babylon, N.Y.) had three goals in the win.
- Junior Brooke Gubitosi (East Northport, N.Y.) collected three ground balls and three caused turnovers.
- Sophomore Anna Tesoriero (Huntington, N.Y.) tallied eight saves.
- Stony Brook held a 19-12 advantage on the draw.

- Stony Brook moves to 14-7 all-time against Albany and has won nine straight in the series.
- The Seawolves improve to 53-5 at LaValle Stadium under Coach Spallina.
- Stony Brook clinched its sixth-straight 10-win season with Sunday's victory.
- Gubitosi had her second-consecutive game of three ground balls and three caused turnovers. The junior defender ranked eighth in the nation entering the weekend with 2.57 caused turnovers per game and now has 2.67 per game through Sunday.
- McCarthy became the ninth player in program history with 100 career draw controls.
