STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Stony Brook softball dropped a non-conference game to Monmouth on Monday afternoon at University Field, falling by the final score of 6-1. With the loss, the Seawolves fall to 11-25 (6-7 AEC) so far this season
Katelyn Corr (Suffield, Conn.) led the way offensively for the Seawolves, going 3-for-4 at the plate to raise her batting average to .311 in 2017.
Lexie Shue (Lakewood, Calif.) chipped in with a 2-for-2 effort of her own, raising her batting average to .206 in 2017.

Notes
- Katelyn Corr (Suffield, Conn.), a sophomore, now has seven multi-hit games this season. Her three hits are the most she's recorded in a game this year.
- Lexie Shue (Lakewood, Calif.) now has three hits in her last eight plate appearances, and has added five multi-hit performances in 2017.
- Senior center fielder Sami Duffy (Carmel, N.Y.) made a diving grab to begin the top of the seventh. Duffy, running to her left, fully extended to make the sprawling catch.
