STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Stony Brook softball split a pair of non-conference games vs. Manhattan on Sunday afternoon at University Field. The Seawolves (14-27, 7-7 AEC) recorded 11 hits en route to a 9-3 Game 1 victory, then fell 8-0 in the second half of the doubleheader.

Quoting Head Coach Megan T. Bryant
"We had a great offensive, defensive and pitching approach in Game 1, so that was a good all-around effort. In Game 2 we had a good old-fashioned pitchers' duel, until ran into a rough patch there at the end of the game."

  • Ileana Torres (Debary, Fla.) led the way for the Seawolves' offense, going 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI.
