DURHAM, N.H. – It was a game of runs as another one came down to the closing seconds for the Stony Brook men's basketball team. The Seawolves' final attempt didn't fall, as they dropped the road contest, 53-51, to New Hampshire at Lundholm Gymnasium Sunday afternoon. Stony Brook now sits as 8-12 on the year, 3-3 in league play, while UNH moves to 8-12, 4-2 in the America East.
Boals' Reaction
"We definitely battled today," said head coach
Jeff Boals. "We didn't play smart in some stretches, but we were right there in it at the end of the game to give ourselves a chance to win and that's what you want on the road. We were up five at halftime, but they made their run in the second half to go up six. We kept chipping away and had a lead going into the final war. We had a chance to extend the lead but went 10-for-24 [from the line] and didn't do it. "
