STONY BROOK, N.Y. -- Senior
Julie Johnstonbaugh (Neshanic Station, N.J.) scored the game-winning goal in overtime as the Stony Brook women's soccer team downed Hartford, 2-1 from LaValle Stadium.
With the win, the Seawolves move to 10-6-1 (5-1-1 AE) on the season. Hartford falls to 12-2-1 (5-1-1 AE).

"It was a great win for our group on senior day against a really, really good Hartford team. For us to be able to come back after being down a goal and score two good goals is going to give us momentum going into our final game against UMass Lowell."
Highlights
- Johnstonbaugh took the first shot of the night in the 4th minute but was denied by Hartford keeper Maia Perez.
- Hartford got on the board first with a goal from Ashley Claud in the 27th minute. It was Claud's eighth goal of the season.
- The Seawolves and Hawks exchanged corner kicks before halftime. Stony Brook took six corners in the win.
- Hartford's Hayley Nolan took the first shot of the second half but sophomore keeper Sofia Manner (Helsinki, Finland) made the save. It was one of her two saves on the night.
- In the 86th minute, sophomore Alyssa Francese (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) fired a shot over the hands of the Hartford keeper to tie the game at one. The goal was Francese's team-high ninth.
- The contest went into overtime, where Hartford's Skylar Vitiello missed high on an attempt at a game-winning goal in the 99th minute.
- In the 100th minute, sophomore Fanny Gotesson (Varnamo, Sweden) found Johnstonbaugh for a game-winning header.
- With the win, the Seawolves move into a tie with Hartford for first place in the America East.
