HARRISONBURG, VA. – The 15^th ranked Stony Brook football team dropped a heartbreaker at No. 3 James Madison on Saturday afternoon at Bridgeforth Stadium.  
 
The Seawolves (6-3, 4-2 CAA Football) fell 13-10 in a defensive standoff to the Dukes (6-2, 4-1 CAA Football).

SCORING

• James Madison got on the board first when WR Kyndel Dean bounced in way into the end zone on a 15-yard reception from QB Ben DiNucci with 1:47 left in the first quarter. The PAT by K Tyler Gray was good. The drive was 11 plays for 82 yards and took 5:19 off the clock.  
• Stony Brook cracked the scoring column when RB Donald Liotine went untouched on a 30-yard rush with 10:14 left in the second quarter. The PAT by K Alex Lucansky was good. The drive was three plays for 40 yards and took 1:14 off the clock.
• K Alex Lucansky banged home a 37-yard field goal with 0:04 left in the first half to give the Seawolves a 10-7 lead. The drive was five plays for 26 yards and took 0:29 off the clock. The drive started when DL John Haggart forced a JMU fumble and LB Shayne Lawless recovered.
• JMU tied it up when K Tyler Gray nailed a 41-yard field goal with 13:51 left in the fourth quarter. The drive was five plays for 25 yards and lasted 1:39.
• Dukes' K Tyler Gray hit a 24-yard field goal with 8:56 left in the fourth quarter that broke the tie. The drive was nine plays for 56 yards and took 3:19 off the clock.

THE NUMBERS

• Stony Brook gained 305 yards of total offense on 71 plays. JMU had 243 yards of total offense on 66 plays.
• The Seawolves had the ball for 29:51 minutes of the game.
• PASSING: Stony Brook: 19-37-2 for 192 yards. JMU: 16-25-0 for 140 yards, one touchdown.
• RUSHING: Stony Brook: 34 carries for 113 yards, 1 touchdown. JMU: 41 carries for 103 yards.
• WR Julius Wingate gained 69 yards on eight receptions.
• QB Joe Carbone had 192 passing yards.  
• RB Donald Liotine collected 71 rushing yards on 19 carries with one touchdown.
• LB Shayne Lawless had 10 total tackles, 1.0 sack, 2.5 TFL and a fumble recovery.
• DL John Haggart had 10 total tackles and a forced a fumble.

I'm obviously proud of our team to be able to come back in the fourth quarter in a away game, crowd noise and everything against you. • WR Julius Wingate pulled down a career-best eight receptions against JMU.
• RB Donald Liotine scored the 21^st rushing touchdown of his career in the second quarter against JMU. He sits seventh on Stony Brook's career rushing touchdowns list.
• RB Donald Liotine gained 71 rushing yards to give him 2,533 for his career and move up to fourth place on Stony Brook's career rushing yards list.
• With 96 all-purpose yards against JMU, RB Donald Liotine and sits in fourth place on Stony Brook's career list with 3,652.
• Stony Brook's first-time players on Saturday: DB Randall Hepburn Jr. and LB Jaylyn Stover.
