Stony Brook Claims Four Victories In Season-Opening Tri-Meet

 
TRI-MEET RESULTS

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Stony Brook women's swim team opened the 2018-19 season with four victories on in the tri-meet against hos LIU Brooklyn and Sacred Heart on Saturday afternoon at the Blackbird's Steinberg Wellness Center.
 
Highlights
  • Junior Kylie Danin (West Islip, N.Y.) picked up outright victories in both the 100 yard and 200 backstroke events. She posted a 58.64 time to claim the 100 yard event and swam a 2:07.40 time to claim the 200 yard event.
  • Freshman Jessica Salmon (Rexford, N.Y.) won the 200 yard breaststroke outright with a time of 2:30.23. Salmon finished second behind LIU Brooklyn in the 100 yard breaststroke event with a time of 1:08.56 to beat Sacred Heart.
  • Sophomore Sara Chin (Long Beach, Calif.) finished second behind teammate Salmon in the 200 yard breaststroke event with a time of 2:30.42.
 
ON DECK
The Seawolves will return to the pool on Saturday, Nov. 10, when they host Vermont at the University Pool on the Stony Brook campus.
