Stony Brook Drops Game One at the James Madison Tournament

HARRISONBURG, VA. -- The Stony Brook softball team finished the first of three days at the James Madison Tournament with a 0-1 record.  

Game 1: James Madison 13, Stony Brook 0  
  • The Dukes got on the board first in the bottom of the first inning scoring five runs off of three hits. 
  • James Madison added on to their lead in the bottom of the second scoring six rus on six hits. 
  • The Dukes tacked on two more runs in the bottom of the third.  
  • Chelsea Evans (Merced, Calif.) recorded two walks for the Seawolves. 
  • Danielle Petrovich (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) made her first start of her collegiate career playing left field for the Seawolves.

The Seawolves remain in Harrisonburg for two more games on Saturday, March 17th. They will take on James Madison at 2:00 p.m., before facing East Carolina at 4:00 p.m.
