STONY BROOK, N.Y.—The Stony Brook softball team took the final game from Hartford 13-2. Over the weekend the Seawolves scored 23 run and tallied 24 hits in the series.

Highlights
- Hartford got on the board first scoring two runs on three hits.
- Jourdin Hering (Federal Way, Wash.) led off with a single to right field and then Melissa Rahrich (Brighton, Colo.) hit a two-run home run over the center field fence to tie the game. Taylor Pechin (Harrington, Del.) doubles to right center field advancing Irene Rivera (Sylmar, Calif.) to third. Rivera then scored on a single by Katelyn Corr (Suffield, Conn.). Pechin scored on a sacrifice fly by Chelsea Evans (Merced, Calif.) to make the Seawolves lead 4-2.
- Hering and Ileana Torres (Debary, Fla.) hit back to back infield singles to get the Seawolves going in the bottom of the second inning. Rahrich doubled to center field scoring Hering and Torres. Evans drew a bases load walk to score Rahrich and increase the Seawolves lead to 7-2.
- Stony Brook tacked on a few more runs in the bottom of the third. Hering led off with a walk and Torres reached on an error. Both then scored on a triple to right center field by Lindsey Hughes (San Dimas, Calif.). Rivera then followed with a sacrifice fly to center field to score Hughes and make the score 10-2.
- With two outs in the bottom of the fourth with two outs Torres singled to get the Seawolves going. Hughes followed with a single to right field and advancing Torres to third. Torres and Hughes then scored on an error by Hartford's right fielder. Corr doubled to left center to score Danielle Petrovich (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) to make the score 13-2.
