STONY BROOK, N.Y. – The Stony Brook softball team split with Sacred Heart in a Sunday double header.

Game 1: Stony Brook 3, Sacred Heart 2
- Riley Craig (Thornton, Colo.) got the Seawolves going in the bottom of the second with a single to right field. Then with bases loaded Jourdin Hering (Federal Way, Wash.) doubled to left field scoring two. Ileana Torres (Debary, Fla.) followed with a single up the middle scoring Nicole McCarvill (Clifton Park, N.Y.) to extend the Seawolves lead to 3-0.
- After three quick innings on both ends the Pioneers got on the board in the top of the sixth scoring two runs on three hits.
- Melissa Rahrich (Brighton, Colo.) threw the complete game moving to 7-6 on the year.
Game 2: Sacred Heart 4, Stony Brook 0
- After a few quick innings Sacred Heart got on the board first with a solo homerun in the top of the fourth.
- Katelyn Corr (Suffield, Conn.) got the Seawolves first hit of the game in the bottom of the fifth inning legging out an infield base hit.
- The Pioneers would add to their lead in the top of the sixth scoring three runs on four hits to extend their lead to 4-0.
- Stony Brook picked up their second hit of the game when Allyssa Malony (Runnemede, N.J.) singled to right field.
