STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Sophomores RHP Greg Marino (Lake Grove, N.Y.) and 1B Chris Hamilton (Schenectady, N.Y.) and junior LF Dylan Resk (Ardsley, N.Y.) all led the Stony Brook baseball team to a 9-1 victory over visiting Bryant on Friday afternoon at Joe Nathan Field.

Marino earned his fourth win of the season on the mound after he tossed 7.0 innings, allowed one run on five hits and struck out five. Hamilton and Resk each collected three hits, while Hamilton belted his team-leading fifth home run of the season and Resk drove in three runs.

Sophomore RF Michael Wilson (Colonia, N.J.) also added three hits and scored three times.

Turning Point
Sophomore 1B Chris Hamilton (Schenectady, N.Y.) broke a scoreless tie with a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth inning. Stony Brook never relinquished the lead.

Quoting Head Coach Matt Senk
"This was a terrific start to the weekend. Greg Marino came out again and set the tone. Chris Hamilton continues to swing the bat really, really well. The defense was its solid self. It was a very clean game with great effort and I look forward to Saturday's game with UMass."
