AKRON, OHIO– The Stony Brook volleyball team got back to their winning ways Sunday afternoon against Canisius, defeating the Golden Griffins in four sets (25-20, 19-25, 25-23, 25-20). The Seawolves finish the Akron Tournament with a 1-2 record, and move to 3-4 on the season.
Coach Belzung's Reaction
"I'm proud of our team for competing today against a gritty Canisius team. We wanted to be more aggressive from an attacking standpoint and I thought we did that, and it created some opportunities for our defense to make some plays. Congratulations to
Kiani Kerstetter for earning All-Tournament honors for a great and consistent weekend of play. We are excited to be at home on Tuesday against a very good St. John's team, and hoping to pack Pritchard!"
