STONY BROOK, N.Y. - The Stony Brook volleyball team will host St. John's in its first home match of the season Tuesday night. The Seawolves are coming off of a 1-2 weekend in the Akron Tournament, while the Red Storm went 2-1 at the Cornell Invitational over the weekend. 
 
Scouting St. John's
St. John's enters the midweek match with a 6-1 record on the year.  The Red Storm's only loss of the season came against Buffalo this past weekend at the Cornell Invitational. Even with loss, the team bounced back picking up wins against Siena and Cornell in the tournament play finishing 2-1.  The Red Storm is led by freshman Rachele Rastelli, who is averaging 3.22 kills per set giving her a total of 87 kills for the season so far. Junior setter Erica Di Maulo plays a role in their success averaging 9.48 assists per set giving her a total of 256. 
 
Last Time Out
The Seawolves picked up a win through three matches at Akron over the weekend. Stony Brook was defeated by Maryland and Akron, but bounced back with a win against Canisius to end the trip on a high note. Sophomore Kiani Kerstetter (Cardiff, Calif.) was named to the Akron Invitational All-Tournament team for her consistent play throughout the weekend.

Senior McKyla Brooks (Blasdell, N.Y.) tallied 10 kills this past weekend in Akron, giving her a total of 974 for her career.
