STONY BROOK, N.Y. -- The Stony Brook men's soccer team (1-2-0) looks to defend its home turf on Wednesday, Sept. 5 when it welcomes St. Joseph's to LaValle Stadium.

Seawolves Notes

• Stony Brook dropped its last contest on Saturday night, falling to Lafayette, 1-0.
• St. Joseph's is the second A-10 team the Seawolves will play this season after taking on George Washington last week.
• Junior Jarred Dass (Marabella, Trinidad) leads Stony Brook with two goals in the 2018 campaign.
• Freshman goalkeeper Christian Miesch (Brig, Switzerland) is yet to allow a first half goal this season.
• The Seawolves (16 points) were tabbed sixth in the America East preseason poll, just ahead of Hartford (12 points) and Binghamton (11 points). UMass Lowell (44 points), New Hampshire (42 points) and Albany (40 points) finished atop the poll heading into the new season.

Scouting St. Joseph's

• The Hawks (2-1-0) come to LaValle riding a two-game winning streak after beating Quinnipiac on Saturday.
• St. Joseph's is coming off of a 3-11-4 (1-5-1 A10) season.
• SJU has scored seven goals in its last two games.
• Sophomore Alvin Dahn leads the Hawks with two goals on the early season.
• Don D'Ambra is in his ninth season on Hawk Hill. His record sits at 36-91-19.
• The Hawks return 17 players from last season, including eight starters.
• SJU was predicted to finish 12th of 13 teams in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll.
