STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Redshirt junior QB
Tyquell Fields (Yonkers, N.Y./Archbishop Stepinac) threw a career-high tying three touchdown passes for the Stony Brook football team on Saturday afternoon, but the Seawolves fell to rival UAlbany in a CAA Football contest at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium.

Gavin Heslop (Yonkers, N.Y./Archbishop Stepinac) accounted for the Seawolves (5-7, 2-6 CAA Football) other touchdown with his second career scoop-and-score on a UAlbany (8-4, 6-2 CAA Football) fumble in the second quarter.
SCORING
- UAlbany took the opening kickoff and drove down the field to score first on a two-yard run by RB Karl Mofor with 10:59 left in the first quarter. The PAT by K Dylan Burns was good. The drive was 11 plays for 75 yards and took 4:01 off the clock.
- The Great Danes added to the lead with a three-yard run by RB Karl Mofor with 6:32 left in the opening quarter. The PAT by K Dylan Burns was good. The drive was five plays for 76 yards and took 2:18 off the clock.
- QB Jeff Undercuffler found WR Juwan Green in the end zone from six yards away for a touchdown with 3:25 left in the first quarter. The PAT by K Dylan Burns was good. The drive was four plays for 50 yards and took 1:35 off the clock.
- UAlbany added to their first half lead with a 25-yard field goal by K Dylan Burns with 12:04 left in the second quarter. The drive was 12 plays for 67 yards and took 3:36 off the clock.
- Stony Brook cracked the scoring column with 6:57 left in the second quarter when WR Brandon Benson pulled in a 23-yard pass from QB Tyquell Fields in the right corner of the end zone. The PAT by K Nick Courtney was good. The drive was nine plays for 87 yards and took 3:41 off the clock. The drive started when DB Synceir Malone intercepted a pass to end the UAlbany drive.
- DB Gavin Heslop posted the second scoop-and-score of his career when he returned a fumble nine yards for a touchdown with 6:04 left in the second quarter. The PAT by K Nick Courtney was good.
- The Seawolves climbed closer to UAlbany when QB Tyquell Fields hit WR Nick Anderson in the end zone with a five-yard pass with 14:26 left in the fourth quarter. The PAT attempt was blocked to make the score 24-20. The drive was eight plays for 58 yards and took 3:28 off the clock. The drive started when TE Anthony Del Negro blocked a UAlbany punt.
- UAlbany added to the lead with 5:36 left in the fourth quarter when RB Karl Mofor punched it in the end zone from three yards out. The PAT by K Dylan Burns was good. The drive was 13 plays for 67 yards and took 8:42 off the clock.
- Stony Brook tacked on a late touchdown when QB Tyquell Fields connected with WR Andrew Trent in the end zone with a seven yard pass with 0:04 left in the fourth quarter. The two-point conversion failed. The drive was 12 plays for 76 yards and took 2:22 off the clock.

- QB Tyquell Fields finished the season with 2,471 passing yards. His yardage total placed him second on Stony Brook's single-season list for passing yards, besting his former teammate Joe Carbone's total of 2,470 from the 2017 season.
- DB Gavin Heslop recorded the second scoop-and-score of his career on a fumble recovery for a touchdown in the second quarter. His other came last season against Richmond. The defensive score for Stony Brook is the second of the season and the eighth in the last two seasons.
- QB Tyquell Fields tossed the 14th, 15th and 16th touchdown passes of the season and 16th, 17th and 18th of his career on Saturday. It tied his career-high with three TD passes.
- WR Brandon Benson pulled down the first touchdown reception of his career on a 23-yard pass in the second quarter. Benson became the 10th different Stony Brook player to score their first career touchdown this season.
- WR Nick Anderson caught his fourth touchdown of the season and the fifth of career in the fourth quarter on Saturday.
- WR Andrew Trent hauled in his second career touchdown and first of the season with the fourth-quarter score on Saturday.
- DB Synceir Malone collected the third inception of the season and fifth of his career in the second quarter.
- OL Mason Zimmerman completed his career with 43 consecutive starts, while DB Gavin Heslop ended with 37 straight games started. DB Augie Contressa extended his consecutive start streak to 24 games.
- DL Casey Williams extended his streak to 20, while DL Brandon Lopez added to his streak to make it 18 straight starts now.
- LB Aidan Kaler made his collegiate debut on Saturday.
