STONY BROOK, N.Y. – The Stony Brook women's basketball team kept its winning ways up on Tuesday night, topping Molloy by a score of 66-49 at the Island Federal Arena.

Kaela Hilaire (Queens, N.Y.) produced 17 points along with nine assists, three rebounds and one steal to pace the team offensively. Graduate student F
Cheyenne Clark (Deptford, N.J.) pulled down five defensive rebounds (eight total), notched two steals and blocked one shot to lead the defensive efforts.
The Seawolves have now won four in a row to improve to 7-1 on the season and remain perfect (4-0) on its home court.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Stony Brook ran out the gates in the first quarter, outscoring Molloy 24-10 from 44.4 percent shooting while holding to Lions to just 13.3 percent.
- The Seawolves knocked down four triples in that quarter, including back-to-back threes from sophomore G Anastasia Warren (Atlanta, Ga.).
- Molloy crawled back into the game in the second quarter, cutting its deficit to just one at one point as Stony Brook made just three field goals.
- Coming back from the locker room with a 31-25 advantage at the half, Stony Brook turned it back on in the third quarter, going on a 15-point run to pull away.
- Hilaire put up seven points in that period while junior G Hailey Zeise (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and junior F India Pagan (New London, Conn.) each chipped in three points to get the team back on track.
- The squad got up by as much as 24 in the final quarter after junior G Victoria Johnson (Camden, Miss.) swished through two free throws.
- Pagan (11) and Warren (10) hit double-digits in scoring along with Hilaire.
NOTES
- Stony Brook forced 18 Molloy turnovers and earned 19 points from them.
- The Seawolves also had strong contributions from the bench, notching 20 points from the reserves.
- The home team shot 39.3 percent from beyond the arc and was 11-12 from the free throw line.
- Junior G Jonae Cox (Portsmouth, Va.) tied her season high in scoring (9) from three 3-pointers.
- Sophomore G Courtney Furr (Elkridge, Md.) knocked down a three in the fourth quarter to record her first points of the season.
- Hilaire has now scored double-figures in seven games this season, including four with 15 or more.
- Redshirt junior Oksana Gouchie-Provencher (Montreal, Canada) is just one block away from cracking into the program's top-10 list in career blocks.
