BOCA RATON, FLA.- The Stony Brook softball team dropped the finale of the FAU/FIU Tournament against North Dakota State Sunday morning. The Bison took down the Seawolves by a score of 7-0. 
 
GAME 1: NORTH DAKOTA STATE 7, STONY BROOK 0

• The Bison got on the board first in the top of the second after a leadoff double came around to score on an error making it 1-0.
• The Seawolves had the bases loaded in the bottom of the second after Lindsey Osmer (Martinez, Calif.) and Riley Craig (Thornton, Colo.) reached on errors and Alina Lance (New Athens, Ill.) was hit by a pitch, but couldn't score.
• North Dakota State added another run in the top of the fourth after a leadoff single was brought home on a sac bunt.
• The Bisons added to their scoring in a four run top of the fifth making it 6-0.
• North Dakota State completed their scoring for the game tacking on a run in the top of the sixth after a leadoff single came around to score on an RBI double.

NOTES

• Taylor Pechin (Harrington, Del.) started in the circle for the Seawolves, and went 4.1 innings giving up five earned runs.
• Stony Brook only had three hits in the game, with Jourdin Hering (Federal Way, Wash.) having two of them.
• Hering's two hit performance is her third of the season.

The Seawolves will travel to George Washington next weekend for the Buff and Blue Challenge.
