(Brighton, Colo.)Â solid performance in the circle, the Stony Brook softball team took down LIU Brooklyn on Wednesday. The Seawolves defeated the Blackbirds by a score of 4-1.

Pechin hit the go-ahead sac fly in the bottom of the first giving the Seawolves a 2-1 lead, and then hit a two-run double in the fifth to make the score 4-1.

Rahrich went all seven innings in the circle, giving up one run and striking out four.Â

SCORING SUMMARY
- The Blackbirds got their lone run in the top of the first after a leadoff walk came around to score on a RBI single.
- Stony Brook scored a pair in the bottom of the first. After Jourdin Hering (Federal Way, Wash.), Katelyn Corr (Suffield, Conn.) and Rahrich walked to load the bases, Irene Rivera (Sylmar, Calif.) brought home Hering on a RBI single making it a 1-1 game.Â
- The Seawolves took a 2-1 lead after Pechin brought home Corr on a sac fly.
- The Seawolves finished up their scoring in the bottom of the fifth tacking on two more runs. After Alina Lance (New Athens, Ill.) reached on an error, Corr and Rahrich walked to load the bases and Rivera kept the bases full on a fielder's choice, Pechin brought home Corr and Rahrich on a two-run double to make the score 4-1.
