STONY BROOK, N.Y.- The Stony Brook softball team fell in the final game of the series against Binghamton on Sunday. The Bearcats held on for a 1-0 victory. With the loss, the Seawolves are 3-3 in conference play.
Melissa Rahrich (Brighton, Colo.) was stellar in the circle and only giving up one run while striking out 10, but took the loss.Â
SUMMARY
- The Seawolves had the bases loaded in bottom of the fourth after Jourdin Hering (Federal Way, Wash.) led off with a double, Rahrich walked, and Irene Rivera (Sylmar, Calif.) reached on a fielder's choice, but didn't convert on the opportunity.Â
- The Bearcats scored their lone run in the top of the sixth after a single came around to score on a RBI single making it 1-0.
- Stony Brook had an opportunity in the bottom of the seventh after Riley Craig (Thornton, Colo.) singled, but she didn't come around to score.
NOTES
- Rahrich pitched all seven innings in the circle only giving up the one run.
- Rahrich is now 7-9 on the season.Â
- Hering tallied two hits, and Katelyn Corr (Suffield, Conn.) and Craig each had a hit.Â
- The Seawolves are 3-3 in conference play.

The Seawolves will welcome UMBC to University Field on Wednesday for a 2 pm doubleheader.
