STONY BROOK, N.Y. -- The Stony Brook men's soccer team looks to pick up its first win of the year on Monday night as they welcome Big Ten-foe Penn State to LaValle Stadium. Opening draw is set for 7 P.M.

Seawolves Notes

  • The squad returns seven starters from 2018, including leading goal-scorer and America East First Team member, senior striker Jarred Dass (Marabella, Trinidad), along with America East Second Team member, senior defenseman Gustavo Fernandes (West Babylon, New York).
  • The Seawolves bring in ten newcomers, including eight freshman along with transfers Kelechi Akujobi (North Babylon, N.Y.) and Kori Cupid (Chaguanas, Trinidad).
  • The 2019 recruiting class consisted off three incoming goalkeepers, who join sophomore Yamil Montenegro (Merida, Mexico) as the team's net protectors.
  • Four players made their Stony Brook debuts on Friday night: Cupid, Danny Jara (Queens, N.Y.), Edmond Kaiser (Karlsruhe, Germany) and Sebastian Rojek (Wayne, N.J.).
