STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Representatives from 14 NFL franchises descended on Long Island for Stony Brook football's annual Pro Day on Wednesday.
Eight Seawolves showcased their talents in the weight room and on the field, while the university was able to show off its new indoor practice facility.
"I was just grateful for the opportunity to be able to workout in front of NFL scouts," former Seawolves captain
Gavin Heslop said. "I felt prepared and I felt like I had a great day."
Heslop joined seven other draft-eligible players in Wednesday's workout.
Billy Barber,
Jean Constant,
Nick Courtney,
Odean Gilzene,
Synceir Malone,
Andrew Trent and
Isaiah White all showcased their abilities during the morning on campus.
Several of the players will also entertain workouts with individual NFL clubs between now and the draft, set to begin on April 23.
