FloFootball with Jonny Wincott (play-by-play) and Sam Kornhauser (analyst). The Blue Hens fell to Rhode Island, 22-15, in their last contest on Saturday, October 9. Stony Brook and Delaware are set to go head-to-head for the sixth time in history with the Blue Hens owning the advantage in the series (3-2). The teams last met on March 13, 2021, and Delaware picked up a 31-3 win over Stony Brook. The last time the Blue Hens made the trip to LaValle Stadium, the Seawolves picked up a 17-3 victory on November 10, 2018. Joe Carbone and Donald Liotine led the Seawolves to victory. Liotine rushed for 170 yards and a touchdown, while Carbone threw for 178 yards and a touchdown. The Seawolves are (1-1) against the Blue Hens at LaValle Stadium.

TYLER KING TACKLING MACHINE: Redshirt freshman linebacker
Tyler King racked up a team-high 11 tackles at Towson on Saturday, October 9. King currently ranks first in the CAA in total tackles (50) and solo tackles (29). King has registered seven or more tackles in a game in five out of six contests thus far. He has recorded two 10-plus tackle games and set a career-high with 12 tackles at No. 4 Oregon on September 18. Â

TOUCHDOWN TY SON: Lawton recorded his second consecutive 100-yard rushing game and third of the season at Towson on Saturday, October 9. He rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries. It marked the third time in his career that he collected a multi-touchdown game. The last time he rushed for two touchdowns in a game was against UAlbany on March 27, 2021. Through Week 6, he is leading the CAA in rushing (544 yards) and rushing touchdowns (six). Lawton now has 16 rushing touchdowns in his career. Lawton has rushed for a touchdown in five out of six games this season. Lawton ranks 11th in all of NCAA FCS is rushing and 12th in rushing touchdowns. The Staten Island, N.Y. native eclipsed 1,000 career rushing yards in the win at Colgate on September 11. The redshirt junior rushed for a touchdown in the first three games of the season for the Seawolves. The three-game touchdown streak was the second-longest of his career. Lawton had a five-game touchdown streak in 2019 (Sep. 21-Oct. 26).

KAMARA GETS THE CALL: Stony Brook alumnus
Sam Kamara has been activated from the Chicago Bears' practice squad and is set to join their 53-man roster ahead of the team's Week 6 matchup with the Green Bay Packers at Soldier Field. Kamara has impressed in Chicago after signing as an undrafted free agent on May 14, 2021. Kamara played in all three preseason games and recorded six tackles (four solo, two assists), three quarterback hits, and a sack. Kamara notched his first preseason sack versus the Buffalo Bills on August 21. He closed out the preseason slate by tallying four tackles (three solo, one assist) against the Tennessee Titans on August 28.
