VILLANOVA, Pa. — And now on to America East play.
The Stony Brook baseball team fell to Villanova, 8-3, on Sunday and were swept in the home-and-home weekend series.
The late-scheduled matchup was a substitute for a four-game conference series against Maine that was canceled due to COVID protocols with the Black Bears.
On Sunday, starter
Nick DeGennaro surrendered four runs on seven hits in 2 2/3 innings.
Stony Brook had taken a 2-1 lead in the third on RBI singles by
Evan Giordano and
