WEST CALDWELL, N.J. — The Stony Brook women's tennis team remained perfect on the young season.
The Seawolves defeated host Seton Hall, 6-1, on Friday night at Tiger Tennis.

Sasha Bekirova,
Mathilde Sreeves and
Chandrika Joshi all won singles matches.
Sreeves rallied from a 6-1 loss in the first set, capturing the second set 6-3 and then winning a tiebreaker, 10-7.
The other three victorious Seawolves won in straight sets.
Seton Hall was unable to field competitors for third doubles and sixth singles.
"Tonight was a real quality victory," coach Gary Glassman said. "The level of improvement in a week's time was substantial. In addition to playing well, the squad showed tremendous poise and thought and fought their way through the match. We will continue to build on this success."
Stony Brook (2-0) returns to action on Saturday at 6 p.m. against Quinnipiac in Hamden, Conn.
