STONY BROOK, N.Y.—Evan Fox's stellar first regular season of college baseball now includes three America East Rookie of the Week awards.
Fox earned No. 3 after going 3-for-6 with four RBIs and three runs scored on Friday as the starter in left field at Binghamton.
Fox then rested Saturday, as did several other starters and the Seawolves prepare to host this week's America East Tournament.
Stony Brook faces Maine on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Joe Nathan Field in the double-elimination tourney's opener, with NJIT and UAlbany following at 2:30 p.m.
Fox, who hails from upstate Ballston Spa, hit .264 with one homer and 18 RBIs in 41 games (40 starts) during the regular season. He split time between the middle infield and left field.
