STONY BROOK, N.Y. — The Stony Brook men's basketball team finished its regular season on a high note Tuesday night, knocking off NJIT 87-69
at Island Federal Arena. Stony Brook won its final four home games en route to a 13-4 home resume.
The night was highlighted by a pair of ferocious dunks, one in each half, as Greene double-clutched to throw it down off a
Tyler Stephenson-Moore assist and then flew into the air to flush an
Anthony Roberts alley-oop pass.
The Seawolves started fast, scoring 15 of the first 20 points of the night to seize control early.
Tykei Greene had 10 himself during that stretch en route to a game-high 27. Stony Brook would lead 39-28 at the break and not relinquish the advantage, ballooning the lead as far as 25 during the wire-to-wire victory. The Seawolves advance in the second half was powered by an attack that shot 56 percent from the field in the final 20 minutes.
