STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Stony Brook women's track and field earned four top five finishes to highlight its day at the Penn 10-Team Select Invitational at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Saturday evening.
Junior
Fiona McLoughlin paced the Seawolves securing a second-place finish in the 3000m with a final time of 9:33.69. Junior
Nicole Garcia followed behind McLoughlin crossing the finish line in 9:54.73 to earn a fourth-place finish in the 3000m.
Junior
Alexandria Earle adds another top finish to her extensive résumé as she earned a third-place finish in the high jump with a final mark of 1.62m.
Graduate
Tara Hauff rounded out the top five finishes for Stony Brook with a fourth-place overall finish in the 800m. Hauff clocked in at 2:23.75 which was good for a new indoor personal best.
HIGHLIGHTS
- McLoughlin paced the Seawolves securing a second-place finish and a new personal best in the 3000m with a final time of 9:33.69. Garcia followed behind crossing the finish line in 9:54.73 to earn a fourth-place finish. Sophomore Niamh Durcan rounded out the top 10 with a final time of 10:18.36 to earn a 10th place finish and a new personal best.
- Earle adds another top finish to her extensive résumé as she earned a third-place finish in the high jump with a final mark of 1.62m. Earle also earned a 10th place finish in the long jump with a mark of 4.95m, securing a new personal best.
- Hauff clocked in at 2:23.75 in the 800m which was good for a new indoor personal best.
- Sophomore Enyero Omokeni earned two top 10 finishes on the day. Omokeni clocked in at 58.59 for a seventh-place finish in the 400m and at 25.44 for an eighth-place finish in the 200m.
- Junior Danella Dawkins earned a seventh-place finish in the 60m hurdles with a final time of 9.03.
- Sophomore Grace Weigele and junior Grace Sisson crossed the line in 5:02.75 and 5:09.16 to earn 12th place and 16th place finishes in the mile, respectively. Weigele set a new personal best with her final time.
- Freshman Kyra Franks secured a 10th place finish and a new personal best in the 400m with a final time of 58.92.
- Graduate Dana Cerbone clocked in at 25.78 to earn a 14th place finish in the 200m. Junior Jaelyn Davis followed behind with an 18th place finish and a new personal best with a final time of 26.32.

"Performances were on par with last week, with Fiona's run in the 3000m probably being the highlight. Each week both teams need to get better, the guys took a bigger step this week than the ladies, but right now small improvements are important too," said head coach
