BOSTON, Mass. – The Stony Brook university women's track and field team rounded out the final day at the ECAC Championships on Sunday in Boston, Mass.
Leading the way on the final day for the Seawolves was sophomore
Danella Dawkins and freshman
Grace Weigele.
Sophomore
Danella Dawkins, who earned a spot in the 60 meter hurdle finals today after finishing in eighth-place finish in the preliminary round at 8.86 and then topped her own time with a 8.66 performance in the semi-finals, finished her final race in sixth-place overall.
Fellow sophomore
Grace Weigele made her own history today as she produced her career-best time in the 3000m to take sixth-place overall.
The Seawolves finished in 17
th-place out of 61 teams with 16 total points. Howard University finished in first place with 90 team points.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Dawkins earned a sixth-place finish in the 60 meter hurdle by finishing at 8.68.
- Weigele set a new career-mark in the 3000m, finishing the race at 9:29.65 for sixth-place. Her fastest split was her 36.11 at the end of the race, gliding to her sixth-place finish and personal-record.
